OpenWatch syncs claude.ai chats and activity from Anthropic's Compliance API and billed usage from its Analytics API, then puts both next to the sessions collected on each laptop.
What the sync does
The Compliance API sync pulls your organisation's users and roles, projects and their attachments, chats and chat messages, artifact content and activity events.
Activity events keep the actor's email, IP address, user agent and request details, so a question about access can be answered with who, when and from where. Each run re-reads the last day of activity so late events aren't missed.
The Analytics API sync reads usage and cost reports per person and per organisation every day. That's where OpenWatch's billed spend figures come from.

Give your deployment Compliance API and Analytics API credentials for your Anthropic organisation. They're stored as deployment secrets.
Choose what to sync
Sync everyone, or limit the Compliance API sync to a list of email addresses.

The sync runs on schedule, and admins can start it manually. A sync-health view shows each run.

Does OpenWatch write anything to Claude?
No. Both syncs only read from Anthropic's APIs.
How often does it sync?
Compliance data syncs on a schedule set for your deployment; Attri's current deployments run it every 12 hours. Usage and cost sync daily.
Are Claude Code transcripts included?
Not from the Compliance API yet. Claude Code sessions that run inside Claude Desktop are collected on the device.
Do we need Claude Enterprise to use OpenWatch?
The Compliance API sync needs Anthropic's compliance access. The device collector reads Claude Desktop sessions without it.
